Health and wellness is a very important part of life but it will look different for many different people.
I don’t believe that there is a one size fits all approach to health, wellness, fitness, weight loss, and the like. Lifestyle, culture, genes, environment, and so much more goes into a person’s overall well-being.
A doctor I AM NOT, neither am I a dietician, or nurse, or any other medical professional. I’m not claiming to be a medical expert. This simple woman who has done her research for her own body. I’ve also done tons of research for my children’s health and wellness.
I know what works for me and my daughters. We have food allergies. Gluten and Dairy to begin with. We also abstain from soy, corn, artificial colors, and artificial sweeteners.
Changing our diet has transformed our lives and created positivity in our health and wellness. I went from a diagnosis of RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) to running 5 miles. She went from having autism meltdowns to being able to control her outbursts. She had chronic stomach aches, eczema, and major depressive episodes until she quit sugar.
Now, I’m not saying that doing all of these things will help everyone. I am simply stating what worked for us and our health and wellness.
That being said. This blog page is for offering many different avenues of wellness to my readers and clients. I’m all about giving you valuable information so that you can decide for yourself. If you need help with sorting through information, feel free to contact me for a free 30-minute consultation.
In the following months, I’ll be adding posts about many different ways that people stay fit, healthy, well, and so on. Please do your research and do not take a one-size-fits-all approach to your healthcare. And just like the commercials say, talk to your doctor before you jump on any fad diet train.
In my own life, I prefer to eat the Paleo way.
I’d love to hear from my Vegan readers. I could never be vegan simply because I don’t like cooked veggies and I can’t eat gluten. that would limit my diet so severely that I think it would make me sick rather than whole. How do you, as a Vegan, stay healthy and away from over-processed soy and wheat products? How does it help your overall health and wellness?
What does exercise look like to you?
Exercise is also a very important part of health and wellness so in addition to talking about food, diets, and lifestyles, I’ll also be talking about working out.
I am a firm believer that exercise should be fun. It doesn’t have to be a regimented class at the fitness center or a routine weightlifting session. It can be a game of volleyball with friends, a hike in the hills, or gardening. Drop me a line and let me know your favorite way to exercise.
The bottom line is everyone should be taking care of their mind, body, soul, and spirit. Health and wellness is a major part of living life to its fullest. I’d like for this blog page to be as interactive as possible.
Talk to me about what health and wellness look like to you. I can’t wait to hear from my beautiful readers!
